Position Purpose

Reporting to the Manager, Business Planning, is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and the direct oversight of the Paramedic Palliative Care program to address service and community needs; including program analysis and program improvement recommendations; ensuring responsive service delivery; overseeing program and budget development; control of expenditures; continuous quality improvement and risk management for assigned programs in accordance with applicable legislation, policies, guidelines, standards and directives.


Qualifications

• Successful completion of a University Degree in Health or Social Sciences or a related program or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a health or social service environment, including service delivery, budget development and business planning.
• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in health or social services environment
• Demonstrated experience building relationships with community health service providers
• Demonstrated experience working with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term care and/or the Local Health Integration Networks
• Valid Class “G” drivers licence and reliable vehicle for use on corporate business.
